Community Partners
Community Partnerships
Building community partnerships is essential to the Fuqua Center’s mission of:
- Increasing community awareness regarding mental illness in older adults in order to decrease stigma
- Improving older adults access to mental health services
Our main strategies include educating partners and the broader community in mental health issues and identifying and implementing evidence-based programs shown to improve mental health outcomes in older adults. We currently collaborate with a number of organizations responsible for serving older adults, organizations that have access to older adults, and organizations that have expertise or need expertise in serving older adults.
